Dear Friends,
This year we will be celebrating 44 years of activity of the Israel Society
for Microscopy (ISM) at our Annual Meeting, which will be held at Tel Aviv
University on May 31th, 2010.
As in the past, our morning session will be a joint plenary session, including
plenary lectures by Ferdinand
Hofer (Graz University of Technology), Helen
Saibil (Birkbeck College London) and Stefan
Hell (Max Planck Institute). In the afternoon
we will split into two parallel sessions: life sciences and materials science.

- The SIG 4 prize by Nanomegas, on excellent Electron Crystallography study, will be awarded to Anna Osherov from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
You are encouraged to still submit pictures to the Micrograph
Competition. This is a unique opportunity
to present visually appealing micrographs. Prizes will
be awarded for the “best picture” in the following categories: optical
microscopy, SEM, TEM, and SPM. The winning micrograph will be posted
