Beit Hatfutsot, Tel-Aviv University
MONDAY, MAY 31ST, 2010

Dear Friends,

This year we will be celebrating 44 years of activity of the Israel Society for Microscopy (ISM) at our Annual Meeting, which will be held at Tel Aviv University on May 31th, 2010.

As in the past, our morning session will be a joint plenary session, including plenary lectures by Ferdinand Hofer (Graz University of Technology), Helen Saibil (Birkbeck College London) and Stefan Hell (Max Planck Institute).  In the afternoon we will split into two parallel sessions: life sciences and materials science.

We are happy to announce that

You are encouraged to still submit pictures to the Micrograph Competition. This is a unique opportunity to present visually appealing micrographs.  Prizes will be awarded for the “best picture” in the following categories: optical microscopy, SEM, TEM, and SPM.  The winning micrograph will be posted on the ISM home page.

Looking forward to seeing you in TAU soon,

Yours Sincerely,
Dganit Danino
Chair, ISM
